The founding of the New York Cancer Hospital, which through a series of mergers has become Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and whose building has since become the Towers Nursing Home and later a residential condo.

This is a scan of the typescript copy of the Harper's Weekly article we have in the Bloomingdale Neighborhood History Group's history files. A digital copy of the original article may be found through the New York Public Library, but the size of the pages is so large and the print so small, that this article is actually more legible in this typescript version.
